When the going gets tough

So now that UK hospital owns Good Sam too we are having many jobs cut and those nurses are being told to go to Good Sam to see what they will be offered or join the pool of nurses. We now know that none of the jobs at UK Hospital are safe. Many are being told to move and one of our wings on the 7th floor only have 3 nurses that have worked here for a long time and new graduates with no night shift left. Supposidly the wing is turning into an observation wing where it will only be open Monday through Friday 8 am to 5pm. We don't know exactly how many of the techs will be cut. Those may begin tomorrow, since all the nurses on our floor have already found out their fate. Too many of the great nurses that worked up on my floor now have to find other jobs. But the nurses that move to Good Sam will be able to keep their insurance and pay as well as sick days. I just hope my job is secure for another year.
